Saw Stop is known for the brake mechanism and preventing life changing injuries. However this is not where the research and development has stopped, all models have been designed “for woodworkers by woodworkers”. This means an engineer has not under engineered something to reduce weight or cost.

Assembling the saw on a mobile base means it can be moved into position easily, and then moved out of the way in the future.
