The standard 10″ Nova Cole Jaw Set is designed for use with Nova chucks. This versatile set is made for re-chucking bowls to remove chuck marks, add decoration, or re-shape the bottoms of bowls that have already been turned.
Other Nova jaw sets can be fitted to the Cole jaws to create a combination jaw facility — an expanding dovetail for mounting bowls and platters, and a reverse dovetail for mounting footed bowls and platters — offering many advantages over traditional vacuum chucking. Standard Cole jaws suit lathes with a minimum 12″/300mm swing diameter and can be customised with false wooden jaws.
