Robert Sorby ProEdge Fingernail Profile Arm
The proedge fingernail profile arm is the working half of Robert Sorby’s fingernail profiling system, holding the gouge and letting it rotate against the belt for a repeatable sweep. It’s a heavier-duty arm than the original profiling jig, built with larger bowl gouges in mind, and this is the last of it we’ll have in stock.
Why Robert Sorby
Sheffield’s Robert Sorby has been producing turning and edge tools since 1828, and the ProEdge system reflects that long engineering pedigree — solid, repeatable jigs built to hold a bevel angle exactly the same way every time.
Specs

- Suits larger bowl gouges
- Pairs with the Profile Boss (sold separately)
On the ProEdge
Fit the gouge into the arm and it rotates smoothly against the belt, letting you sweep the wing profile the same way on both sides without babysitting the angle. It’s part of the same family as our other sharpening accessories, and it’s the piece that gets a fingernail grind looking identical gouge after gouge — something we cover in our woodturning courses when sharpening comes up.
Limited Stock — While It Lasts
This is the last of our Robert Sorby ProEdge fingernail profile arm stock and once it sells the listing closes. No more are coming in, so if your ProEdge setup needs one, this is it.
