Overview

Luci-Clear is an Australian-made epoxy resin formulated specifically for casting. It handles pours in excess of 30mm in a single pass, produces a clear, bubble-free result, and does not require a vacuum chamber. The chemistry is designed to generate minimal heat during cure, which reduces shrinkage and protects specimens or inclusions embedded in the pour.

Clarity and Performance

The resin cures water-clear with a built-in UV absorber package that resists yellowing and chalking over time. For work that will be displayed or handled, that long-term colour stability matters more than most makers realise. What goes in clear stays clear.

What It Does Well

Luci-Clear suits projects where depth and optical clarity are the point. The low-exotherm formulation keeps temperatures in check during thick pours, protecting anything embedded in the cast and reducing the risk of cracking or stress fractures in the cured piece.

Working Notes

No vacuum chamber needed. Mix ratios and pot life will vary by size and ambient temperature. Work in a dust-free space and seal the surface between pours if building up layers. Available in multiple sizes to suit everything from small craft projects through to large table pours.
