The Woodfast BS250B brings the build of a floor-standing bandsaw to a benchtop machine: a steel frame, a cast-iron table and balanced 254mm cast-aluminium bandwheels.

With a 245mm throat and 120mm cutting height it suits small furniture, cabinetry, craft and toy work, and general timber preparation. Two blade speeds, 460m/min and 1,000m/min, let it cut timber and light metals.

The spring-loaded blade guides adjust without tools, and a rack-and-pinion upper guide sets the cutting height accurately. A quick-release lever takes the tension off the blade when you finish, which saves the blade and tyres.

An aluminium rip fence with cam lock and a mitre gauge are supplied. A microswitch on each wheel door stops the saw running with a door open, and a no-volt release stops it restarting on its own after a power cut.

Use it on a bench, or add the optional BS250-OS open stand and mobility kit (sold separately) for a 1010mm table height.
