Description
American Black Walnut Wood Blanks are a well known boutique species imported from the U.S.
Characteristics include a beautiful chocolate brown heartwood with a clear light coloured sapwood. That provides a natural contrast, therefore, is highly sought after.
This species is used in many applications including:
- Woodturning
- Woodcarving
- Box-making
- Joinery and cabinetry
- Gun stocks
Good availability means this timber is usually available all year around.
Sizes and Colour:
May vary due to being a natural product, for larger quantities inquiry is key for availability.
When deciding on sizing required, it’s always better to allow larger specifications than you need, you can always remove more stock, you can’t add it back on later.
For projects larger than the available sizing, consider laminating multiple wood blanks to achieve your desired stock size.
All timber is sourced from sustainable and ecologically friendly sources and is kiln dried to Australian Quality Standards.
We have hand selected a range of quality species perfect for beginners and long-term woodworkers both. Now available online!
However, If you require any further information regarding this species, sizing, availability or more, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly and our staff will be happy to help.
