Description
Coachwood Wood Blanks has a beautiful grain and aroma that is often likened to caramel. Sourced primarily from New South Wales. These Wood Blanks are all 90mm x 90mm x 300mm.
Extensively used in coach construction, due to its good natural flex being able to with stand a bumpy trail when horse-drawn. This species is not so common anymore as trains and cars became the more prominent mode of transport and this species was relatively forgotten.

Very easy to wood-turn and wood-carve making it a good species for learners of these disciplines. We still have the occasional furniture project produced from this species too.
A classic species that will be immortalised in our history by its namesake.
Sizes and Colour:
May vary due to being a natural product, for larger quantities inquiry is key for availability.
When deciding on sizing required, it’s always better to allow larger specifications than you need, you can always remove more stock, you can’t add it back on later.
For projects larger than the available sizing, consider laminating multiple wood blanks to achieve your desired stock size.
All timber is sourced from sustainable and ecologically friendly sources and is kiln dried to Australian Quality Standards.
