Camphor Laurel is available with 1-2 live edges. And colours range from grey, yellow to deep reds. High variability in this species dictates that we cannot guarantee what you will get. If you’d prefer a specific grain and colour we recommend visiting our store.
Camphor Laurel has an interesting history with woodworkers. Once regarded purely as noxious weed that was ripped out and burnt. The ones remaining grew large and vivid ranges of colouring and patterns making it the prettiest “Weed” species available in the timber industry and changing many opinions on its usage.
Used in an array of de-contestant products as well as having both anti-bacterial and pest-resistant properties means the practical applications of Camphor Laurel both in its timber and shaving form are limitless.
Often used in turning, carving and fine furniture.

Its colours range from the mainly yellow heartwood to streaks of red, brown, orange, black and even green tinges.
