White Beech is one of the most forgiving native species in Australian workshops. The pale creamy heartwood carries a subtle green-grey cast, with fine straight grain and a gently oily fibre that has kept it in demand for boatbuilding, carving and turning for over a century. • Finishing: Takes oil, wax and shellac beautifully — we recommend Danish oil, EEE-Ultra Shine or Shellawax for a soft satin finish
